Welcome to my book page…I was a passionate writer when I was in my early teens until I received a rejection letter from a magazine. I was puzzled because I hadn’t submitted anything to them, but my mother had! This meant she had been through my private things and it felt like a huge betrayal of trust. I was so mortified that I stopped writing anything other than essays for school and letters to penpals. It was 1999 before I started writing stories again. After completing several creative writing course, I began my first novel in 2000. However, my first published book is not fiction. It is the story of my struggle to come to terms with a diagnosis of cancer, the treatment for this horrible disease and how I eventually managed to create a wonderful new life for myself afterwards.
